From my very first appointment with Dr Zhong-Chen for an abnormal ecg (confirmed as Cardiomyopathy) he re-assured me from the start and was very kind. He started me straight away on medication and listened to my concerns. Later on he increased my medication and the result has been that I feel 100% better, with no breathlessness, palpitations and tiredness.The follow-up care I have been receiving from him and the community heart failure team has been exceptional. I cann't thank him enough for making me well again.

From my very first appointment with Dr Chen, he put me at ease and made my whole experience of having to have ablation treatment so much better. He listened to my questions, took time to answer and fully explained what I needed to know. He was extremely helpful and kind.
I had the treatment in Feb 18 and have recently had confirmation it was a success and can't thank Dr Chen enough. I feel like a completely new person and am now living life to the full again.

I was first diagnosed with a irregular heart beat known as af rhythm came from a viral infection that moved onto my heart. I then went to cardiology I then had a cardio version which kept my heart in rhythm for a while but the irregular heart beat came back. So I then had another cardio version to get my heart in normal rhythm. I then see DR Chen and he recommended I had a ablation procedure to try and keep my heart in a normal rhythm for a lot long time frame or for good. So with my age in consideration I done alot of reading and decided to go for the procedure. So I was booked into harefield hospital under DR Chen and I had the procedure done and had the best experience ever really well looked after from start to finish. I then had a couple more check up with DR Chen at St. Peter’s hospital to check I still had regular heart rhythm which I have and still have over one year later. All in all I would recommend this treatment to anyone who needs to have this treatment done one of the best hospital experiences I ever had a +++.

I have been under the care of Dr Chen for three years now with arterial fibrillation (AF). Despite an operation to have a new valve in my heart at St Georges in 2017, I still had AF and suffered with breathlessness which had a profound effect on my life. Dr Chen suggested that a pacemaker would really improve this breathlessness, but explained that the operation would be complicated given my previous operations.
I was initially reluctant to undergo another risky procedure. However, further consultation with Dr Chen reassured me that a pacemaker could really improve the quality of my life and ability to complete my daily activities. The wait for the operation was short and as Dr Chen has stated the procedure was complicated. In all the procedure took four and half hours to complete and Dr Chen said that he could have "implanted four pacemakers in that time".
Since the operation it has made a world of difference to me. I no longer get as breathless as I used to and I'm able to complete many of the activities I was previously unable to. I cannot praise Dr Chen and his entire cardiac team enough for their kindness and professional care.

Iwent into A/F new years day 2017 , and spent the night in hospital . I was refered to my GP , and from them to cardiology . This initially took some time , and I had a conversion in June 2017 , which lasted 3 months , before I went back into AF . I felt my life was on hold , and I was quite scared at this point . I then was in contact with Dr Chen , wo had put me on a list for an ablation , at Harefield hospital . I saw Dr Chen in the Autum , and he was surprised I did not have a date . Whilst in his office , he tried to find out where I was on the list , and promised to try and move it along . As a result of his intervention , I was given an ablation , in December 2017 , by Dr chen . Whilst in hospital recovering , he visited me and explained that it had gone well and that he was pleased with the results . This was a huge relief , and I very much appreciated that he had taken the time to talk to me personally , especially as he was clearly very busy at that time .
Since than I have had a number of follow up visits , with Dr Chen , who on each occasion has looked at my medication and adjusted it accordingly . I am no longer on beta blockers as a result . I now feel 100% better , and feel that I have my life back . I know it may not last forever , and I may go back into AF at some point . Dr Chen has always said to get back in touch , if I have any problems . As a result I am not so afraid of the future , knowing Dr Chen will be there to help as much as he can .
At all times during this period , Dr Chen took time to explain the operations and the slight risks involved , as a result I always felt fully involved , and able to make my own informed decisions . I would fully recommend this proceedure , and can only thank Dr Chen for his skill and proffesionalism
